Multiscale thermoelastic modelling of composite strands using the “fundamental solutions” method

چکیده

Abstract A novel computationally effective approach to multiscale thermoelastic modelling of composite structures and its application a thermomechanical analysis two ITER superconducting strands is presented. Homogenisation recovering problems are solved by means the “fundamental solutions” method, which was expanded case analysis. We describe general procedure on basis this method apply it recover stresses at microscopic scale using two-level procedure. The recovered micro-stresses found be in good correlation with obtained reference problem where entire structure modelled fine mesh.

The method of fundamental solutions for transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials: some special cases

In this paper, the Method of Fundamental Solutions (MFS) is extended to solve some special cases of the problem of transient heat conduction in functionally graded materials. First, the problem is transformed to a heat equation with constant coefficients using a suitable new transformation and then the MFS together with the Tikhonov regularization method is used to solve the resulting equation.
